1/1/04: Master Higgins, Bonk and the Streets of Rage gang have all either surfaced or will be surfacing in new games. As such, they've now been added to the Forgotten Videogame Heroes And Heroines That Have Returned section. Since there has been no news at all on the new Splatterhouse game, Rick has been returned to the main section until Namco can get their act together. Two new forgotten heroes have arrived to take up the missing places left by Bonk and Higgin's absence - the heroes of Snow Bros., Nick and Tom, and the heroes of Xybots, Captain Ace Gunn and Major Rock Hardy. Find them all in the last two pages of the article.

9/24/03: Four heroes - specifically Firebrand, Opa-Opa, Space Harrier, and the trio from Golden Axe - have returned in new games, and as such they've been added to the Forgotten Videogame Heroes And Heroines That Have Returned section. Four new forgotten heroes have arrived to take their place - Elta, Dr. Ferdinand Social, Jay, and the four heroes of Sunset Riders. Find them scattered throughout the six pages of the article.

3/26/03: I've removed yet another hero from the list who will be returning in a new game in the near future - Adol Christian. He's been replaced by a long overdue hero - Sparkster! Find Sparkster on Page 2.

3/10/03: I've had to make some major changes here, as it seems that Rick (Splatterhouse), Rastan and Kunio & Riki will be appearing in new games! I've removed them and added these new entries: Ristar, Flicky and Allen & Sheena (Run Saber). Find Ristar and Flicky on Page 1, and Allen & Sheena on Page 2. I've also done a bit of editing to some of the other entries. It also seems that more heroes may be dropping off the list in the near future, if Sega's remake series for the PS2 happens - Alex Kidd and Space Harrier among them. If this does happen, I'm going to need some new heroes and heroines to add to the list, so if anyone has any they want included here, feel free to send them to me!

11/21/02: I've just learned that Jo Musashi is an unlockable, playable character in Shinobi for the PS2. In light of this, his profile has been removed and replaced by a hero that's long overdue to be featured on these pages - Adol Christian from Nihon Falcom's legendary Ys series. Find him on Page 2.

9/3/02: Ten new heroes have been added to the list, including many that have been quite overdue to make an appearance here. Check out Page 6 to see them.

6/13/02: One of the original forgotten heroines that I wanted to include on the list I had forgotten all about - until V-Alis reminded me about her. Because I didn't have enough heroes to make another page, I have replaced Joe & Mac, my least favorite heroes on the list, with her. Who is she? None other than Alisia Dragoon! Joe & Mac will return when I have more heroes to add.

5/30/02: Due to the upcoming games Contra: Shattered Soldier (PS2) and Rage Of The Dragons (Neo Geo), Bill & Lance (Contra) and Billy & Jimmy (Double Dragon) have been removed from the list. They have been replaced by Joe & Mac (Caveman Ninja) and Edgar, Mary, Joe, and Lee (Quartet).

5/7/02: Thanks to suggestions I've received from people I've polled, I've added twenty new heroes to the list.
