Review Submission Guidelines

Welcome to the second incarnation of the OPCFG. This time around, I'll be covering the various compilation releases that have been released over the years, as well as retro releases and online-only sequels for the various networks that you can access via the Wii, PS3 and Xbox 360. These releases are (usually) an inexpensive way to enjoy your favorite arcade and console classics again without resorting to the grey area that is emulation. Over time, I hope to build up a massive review database that answers the most important question about these releases: namely, are they worth your hard-earned money?

This is strictly a part-time thing for me, as the bulk of my time is spent on my Splatterhouse site West Mansion and writing my ongoing story series The Chronicles of the Raven. Therefore I won't be writing a ton of reviews for the site. That's where you come in. I strongly encourage you to send in your reviews. There are guidelines to follow, however, and any submitted reviews may be rejected if these guidelines are not followed. However, you are welcome to resubmit after editing.

Great games have never had to be high-tech to be high-fun.

Long before there was ultra-super-duper-128-bit-polygon-video-capture, hardware hype, wEiRd TyPe, pointless game ratings, E3, SCREAMING GUYS in ads, Virtual Reality, cliches like "in your face" and "it's the ultimate", 360 degree roto-scope-rhetoric from self righteous reviewers, CD-this, 3-D that, multi-million-dollar TV commercials tainted with TOILET humor...

...there was fun.

The OPCFG: dedicated to the preservation of classic forms of gaming since 1998.
